Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit across the globe. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in churches. She was a student at Spellman College and began to learn the R&B style that is popular in Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You a House 12 came out only in Japan. It's been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. Her voice has also been a part of voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to be the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine rose to prominence during the four daily performances in 2008. Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
