Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st of October, 1995, in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an actress from America who was seen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she has herself pursued. The actress made her film debut at age nine in Sergio Citti's Sogni bisogni. At the age of eighteen she had become the main character of Cristina Comencini's Zoo and a member of Michele's The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's daughter was released a year later. But it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career take off. Cannes International Film Festival received the movie well. Her father was in the film for the debut time on Trauma an award-winning film by Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favorite actress and she played an anorexic looking to find the murderer of her parents. Asia was a part of Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third film she co-directed with her dad. The other two included Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Her role as Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di the vista, a physically handicapped girl, was a difficult and intricate role, which earned her the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actress. The film also featured her in a major part on the screen in Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995, she collaborated along with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio, for which she won a David di Donatello. Asia took up directing as a career in 1994 and produced two shorts, one of which was De Generazione. The following year, 1996, Asia made a document on her father. Then, in 1998 was the year that Asia created a feature-length film on Abel Ferrara (AbelAsia), that was awarded an award by the Rome Film Festival. Asia debuted as a director in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. It was also the lead actress and screenwriter. It premiered worldwide during May of 2000. The film won an award in Brooklyn at the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
